  • take a leisurely walk on the educational trail,

Make your hike on Kubínska even more enjoyable with a relaxing break along the way. At the upper station of the lower section of the chairlift (halfway up the resort), you’ll find Srdcovka Restaurant, the perfect place for a short rest or lunch with views of the surrounding mountains.

At the summit, Vrcholovka awaits — a popular mountaintop bar where you can enjoy a refreshing drink, panoramic views, and a moment of relaxation at an altitude of 1,396 m above sea level. Right next to it, you’ll find the iconic swing overlooking the Orava region.

Turistika na Veľký Choč

Veľký Choč – 1,611 m a.s.l.

Veľký Choč is one of the most distinctive peaks you can admire directly from Kubínska. One day, you can enjoy views of its iconic cone-shaped summit from the terrace of Vrcholovka, and the next, you can stand on the summit yourself.

The most popular hiking routes start from Valaská Dubová, Vyšný Kubín, or Jasenová. The hike is suitable for active walkers, though you should be prepared for a significant elevation gain and a more demanding final ascent.

Distance: Approximately 10–14 km, depending on the chosen route

Rozsutec – 1,610 m a.s.l.

Its distinctive rocky ridges, steep ascents, and dramatic panoramas create the atmosphere of a true mountain adventure.

On clear days, the silhouette of the Malá Fatra mountains can be admired directly from Kubínska. Rozsutec is one of those peaks that inspires visitors to continue exploring the region’s mountain landscapes and hiking opportunities.

Elevation gain: Approximately 860 m
Distance: Approximately 9 km round trip
Suitable for: Experienced hikers
Atmosphere: Alpine-style hiking with panoramic views

Jánošíkove diery

Wooden walkways, ladders, waterfalls, and narrow gorges make this an ideal trip for families as well as recreational hikers.

The trails pass through the Lower, New, and Upper Diery sections and can be adapted to suit different fitness levels and trip lengths. For many hikers, they also serve as a starting point for ascents to Veľký Rozsutec and Malý Rozsutec.

Elevation gain: Approximately 250–400 m, depending on the route
Distance: Approximately 4–6 km
Suitable for: Families and active hikers
